How We Approach Every Piece That Comes In
Before any service begins, we assess the piece. This isn't a formality — it's the step that determines whether the recommended service is appropriate and whether any additional scope needs to be flagged. We document condition, photograph the piece, and only then confirm what we'll do and for how much.
Phuket's island environment shapes how we think about watch care. Salt exposure, humidity, and temperature fluctuations all affect seals, lubricants, and metal over time. Our approach accounts for these factors in a way that a continental workshop generally doesn't need to.
Service timelines are honest. We don't promise same-day results for work that warrants more care, and we don't extend timelines unnecessarily. When something takes longer than expected, we tell you why.

Insured Custody
Every piece held at Tickwright is covered under a specialist valuables policy. Written confirmation issued on drop-off.
Pre-Work Documentation
Condition photographs and a written intake note for every piece, regardless of service tier.
Qualified Lubricants
Swiss-sourced lubricants from qualified suppliers only. Lot numbers recorded per movement.
Scope Approval Protocol
No additional work without explicit client approval. We stop and ask if unexpected scope is found.
Pressure Testing
All water-resistant pieces receive a pressure test after seal work. Results documented and shared.
Specialist-Only Handling
Movement work is performed by the lead watchmaker. No delegation to unqualified staff at any stage.
